Main aims of the project:

• The identification and quanti-fication of characteristic fea-tures of the microclimate of windthrows.

• The evaluation of the impact of devastated forests on the local climate

• The monitoring of the main mic-roclimatic characteristics and soil water dynamics within the windthrow and besides it.

• Model simulations of the micro-climate of windthrows and prediction of its further develop-ment
